Instructions

    • 1

Take out the low E string. This is accomplished by unwinding the string from the tuning peg of the guitar. Turn the tuning key counterclockwise. Make sure this is done until there is slack in the string, enough to take the string carefully from the windings off the peg.

    • 2

Remove the piece of the string from around the tuning peg. Use side cutters. Take the string from the tailpiece, which is behind the guitar’s bridge. Glide the low E string through the section located in the tailpiece. Put it into the tuning peg’s hole. Wind the tuning peg five times.

    • 3

Rotate the tuning key clockwise. This causes the string to wrap about the tuning post. Tune the string to the right pitch.

    • 4

Duplicate all of the previous steps to replace every string. To prevent tension on the neck, make sure to replace a single string at a time.
