Latin-Reggaeton Dance Clubs in Los Angeles

Given its large and expanding Latino population, Los Angeles is a logical choice as a destination for all varieties of Latino culture. One of the newer and fastest growing Latino cultures in Los Angeles centers around the reggaeton industry made popular by music acts such as Daddy Yankee. Latino and reggaeton clubs in particular can be found throughout most of the city's different neighborhoods but are most common in the downtown area and in Hollywood.
  1. Club Mayan

    • Located in the downtown area of South Hill Street, Club Mayan is one of the more popular clubs in all of Los Angeles and features live music and dance competitions among a wide variety of regular and special event programming. Built in 1927 by Los Angeles architect Stiles Clements from designs by Mexican artist Francisco Cornejo, Club Mayan was originally built as a theatre and cultural haven for Mayan culture. After it was renovated in 1990, it reopened as the current Club Mayan and includes hand-carved and traditionally painted walls to complement its more modern amenities such as a hardwood dance floor and state-of-the-art sound systems.
