How to Mail LP Records

Finding the most efficient means to mail vinyl records will save you both time and money. However, throwing them into a random box will risk damage and incur needless shipping costs. Consider insuring your packages as well depending on the value of your LPs and their destination. Always keep your package number and postage receipts on file in case you need to prove that you sent a package.

Instructions

  1. Bubble Wrap

    • 1

Wrap your LPs in bubble wrap and tape the wrap around them so the wrap is a snug cushion around the records.

    • 2

Insert the LPs, no more than two at a time, in a Priority Mail box or envelope.

    • 3

Fill the remaining space in the box with bunched up newspaper or bubble wrap so the records sit securely inside the mailer box. This will prevent the records from moving around inside the box.

    • 4

Pay the postage fee and get a tracking number to track your package and get confirmation when it has reached its destination.
