How to Take Off Pickup Covers

Pickup covers provide protection for the coil wires and help reduce feedback and can be an aesthetic element to a guitar. Removing a pickup cover on a guitar can alter its tone, and it can expose the pickups to more damage and potential feedback issues. English guitarist, songwriter and producer Jimmy Page had a Les Paul covered pickup in the neck position and an opened-faced pickup in the bridge position.
