Country artists like the Charlie Daniels Band, Jason Michael Carroll, David Allen Coe and Brantly Gilbert have graced the stages of Ohio country bars and clubs alike. There are plenty of country bars and clubs in Ohio for fans to enjoy.
  1. Dusty Armadillo

    • The Dusty Armadillo in Rootstown, has been home to country artists like Jason Michael Carroll, Josh Thompson and Brantly Gilbert. General admission tickets are $15 per person for those who are over the age of 18 as of 2011. Tickets may be charged by phone or purchased online or at the club during normal business hours Wednesday through Sunday. The Dusty Armadillo celebrated its eighth anniversary during 2010. The country dance clubs hosts Ladies' Nights every Friday, with no cover charge for the ladies and dance lessons beginning at 7 p.m. Built in the 1920s, the club has over 5,000 square feet and boasts a solid maple dance floor. Saturday nights host live bands and Wednesday nights are College ID Nights, which allow all guests over the age of 21 in free and college students with valid IDs in at a reduced cover charge. Wednesday nights' dance lessons are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $5.

    Barb & Doug's Nashville Nights Akron

    • Known as "Akron's Best Country Music Night Spot," Barb & Doug's Nashville Nights is known for more than just country music. Patrons can also enjoy karaoke and classic rock. Every Wednesday night, Nashville Nights hosts a Male/Female Karaoke Contest, which awards $50 for the best singer of each sex. Monday nights celebrate Monday Night Football with $1.50 domestic beers from 4 to 7 p.m.; Tuesdays host open mic karaoke; and guests can enjoy live bands on Friday and Saturday nights. Sundays host open mic jam sessions from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Nashville Nights offers an array of sporting events, NASCAR parties and country music.     Screamin' Willie's

    • With a capacity of 1,100, Screamin' Willie's in Columbus has been open since November 1980 for country and rock fans alike. Their hours are Thursday from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m., and Friday and Saturday from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. The facility has 30,000 square feet and boasts a dance floor of 2,800 square feet. With well known live acts, including Charlie Daniels Band, David Allen Coe, Mustang Sally, Kentucky Headquarters, Rascal Flatts, Montgomery Gentry, Toby Keith and Kenny Chesney, Screamin' Willie's invites country music loving patrons to enjoy a night in Columbus with their favorite country stars.

    Kick'n Rock'n Country Bar

    • The Kick'n Rock'n Country Bar is an all-live country music bar that never charges a cover. There is free parking across the street at Fifth Third Bank. This Cincinnati-based country bar offers regional country music and Southern rock upstairs and live acoustic music downstairs on Friday and Saturday nights. The popular Dallas Moore Band - Southern Dysfunction has appeared at Kick'n Rock'n Country Bar.
