How did electric light orchestra get its name?

Jeff Lynne wanted a futuristic-sounding name for his new band after leaving The Move. He chose the Electric Light Orchestra, or ELO, in 1970 during one of the first sessions when bandmembers played electric and acoustic instruments together.
