What is the correct order of movements in a symphony?

The traditional structure or movements for a symphony are as follows:

1. Exposition: This is where the main themes and ideas of the movement are introduced.

2. Development: Here the themes from the Exposition are worked on and developed to create new musical material.

3. Recapitulation: The themes from the Exposition return in the same or similar form to the beginning of the movement.

4. Coda: This is a short section that concludes the movement and brings it to a close.
