2. Guillaume de Machaut (c. 1300 – 1377) was a French poet and composer of the late medieval era. A polymath, he was also an important contributor to the development and expansion of numerous literary and musical genres. He is one of the most important composers of the Middle Ages and is widely considered to be the creator of isorhythm.
3. Johannes Ciconia (c. 1335 – 1411) was a composer, theorist, astrologer, and diplomat from Liège (now Belgium) who spent most of his life working in the service of Italian families. He is best known for his ars subtilior compositions and for his theoretical treatise Nova musica.
