Is voice different in the Lion King Special Edition?

The Lion King Special Edition (2002) features some changes to the voice cast, particularly in the songs. While most original actors reprised their roles, there were some notable differences:

* Simba: While Matthew Broderick reprised his role for dialogue, he was replaced by Jason Weaver for the song "We Are One".

* Nala: Moira Kelly returns for the dialogue but was replaced by Lauryn Hill for "Shadowland".

* Timon and Pumbaa: Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella, respectively, returned for both dialogue and singing.

* Scar: Jeremy Irons returns for both dialogue and singing.

* Other changes: There were other minor changes in the singing cast for the special edition.

It's important to note that these changes were made to the songs only. The original actors (Broderick, Kelly, etc.) still voiced their characters in all dialogue scenes.

Overall, the changes to the voice cast in the Special Edition are relatively minor. The most significant changes are in the songs, and most fans agree that the new singers did a great job.
