Do all musicians write their own songs?

Not all musicians write their own songs. Some musicians, known as singer-songwriters, write and perform their own original compositions. However, many other musicians perform songs that have been written by other people. These musicians are often called interpreters or cover artists. They may choose to perform songs from a wide range of genres and eras, or they may specialize in a particular style or artist. Some musicians may also choose to collaborate with other songwriters to create new songs.
