Can a bearer instrument be an order instrument?

A bearer instrument is a negotiable instrument that is payable to the bearer, the person who has possession of the instrument. An order instrument, on the other hand, is a negotiable instrument that is payable to a specific person or entity.

A bearer instrument can be converted into an order instrument by endorsement. An endorsement is a signature that is written on the back of a negotiable instrument. When an instrument is endorsed, it becomes payable to the endorsee, the person to whom the instrument is endorsed.

Once an instrument has been endorsed, it can no longer be transferred by delivery. It can only be transferred by endorsement.
