Why they come in high school musical on ice?

Troy, Gabriella, Sharpay, Ryan, Chad, Taylor, and Kelsi do not appear in *High School Musical on Ice*. The 2007 stage musical, written by David Simpatico and composed by Bryan Louiselle, introduces new characters not previously seen in either the film series or Broadway show.
