To finger a G natural on the flute, use the following fingering:

1. Hold the flute with your left hand, with your thumb on the thumb rest and your fingers covering the tone holes.

2. Use your left index finger to cover the first tone hole from the top.

3. Use your left middle finger to cover the second tone hole from the top.

4. Use your left ring finger to cover the third tone hole from the top.

5. Use your left pinky finger to cover the fourth tone hole from the top.

6. With your right hand, use your index finger to press the key on the side of the flute that is closest to you.
