Why Beethoven composed classic music?

Ludwig van Beethoven did not compose classic music, he composed Romantic music. The Classical period of Western music ended around 1820. Beethoven's third period, often referred to as late Beethoven or the Third Period, began in 1818 and lasted until his death in 1827. Beethoven's best-known works were composed in his Late Period, including the Ninth Symphony, the Missa Solemnis, and the last five piano sonatas.
