How to Make CD Case Labels

If you love to burn new music for your friends, you might be wondering how you can make CD case labels for them as well. Making a label for the CD case lets you know exactly what music is on the CD. You can also make a design for the CD case and even add in which artists are singing which songs. Making CD case labels is relatively easy to do from your home computer.

Use the search box to search for "CD inserts" and a list of templates will appear. Most of the templates work with Microsoft Word as well as with other word publishing programs.

Click on the template that you would like to use and download it by clicking "download" on the next screen. The template will automatically open.

Personalize the CD case label by adding text or graphics. You will be able to choose a font, a font color and a font size for your CD case label. Add graphics by clicking "insert" and then "picture" or "clip art." Search your hard drive for the image you want to add and click "go."

Print out the CD case label on either regular paper or card stock paper. Card stock paper is more durable and will last longer. Cut out the label according to the instructions on the template and insert it into the CD jewel case.
