What is music fusion?

Music fusion or genre fusion, is a blending or combining of musical elements from different musical genres. It often results in the creation of a new genre but may produce music considered part of both genres or part of a new genre by itself.

Examples of music fusion:

- Afro-Cuban jazz: This genre blends elements of African music, Cuban music, and jazz.

- Rock and roll: This genre blends elements of blues, country music, and rhythm and blues.

- Funk rock: This genre blends elements of funk and rock music.

- Rap rock: This genre blends elements of rap music and rock music.

- Nu metal: This genre blends elements of heavy metal, grunge, funk, rap metal, and industrial music.

- Trip hop: This genre blends elements of hip hop, electronic music, and experimental music.

- World fusion: This genre blends elements of music from around the world.

Music fusion has become increasingly popular in recent decades as musicians have become more open to experimenting with different sounds. It has allowed for the creation of new and exciting music genres that would not have existed otherwise.
