How to Lock the XLR Tab
XLR audio cables connect microphones and musical instruments to mixers, amplifiers and other audio equipment. A metal tab pops up when a "male" (or pronged) XLR cable end connects to a "female" (or socket) end, locking the two together so they cannot be accidentally pulled apart. Locking and unlocking your XLR cables using the tab is a straightforward process.
