What does an object have to do produce sound?
An object produces sound by vibrating. When an object vibrates, it creates sound waves. These waves are caused by the back-and-forth motion of the object, which creates a disturbance in the air. This disturbance travels through the air as a sound wave, and when it reaches our ears, we hear the sound.
The frequency of the sound wave determines the pitch of the sound, and the amplitude of the sound wave determines the loudness of the sound.
