Musical notes are the building blocks of music, representing different pitches in a musical scale. The notes used in Western music are:
- A (or La)
- B (or Si)
- C (or Do)
- D (or Re)
- E (or Mi)
- F (or Fa)
- G (or Sol)
These notes can be further altered by adding accidentals such as sharps (#) and flats (♭) to raise or lower the pitch of a note by a semitone, or half step.
