What has the author Graham Vernon Sadler written?

Graham Vernon Sadler was an English schoolmaster, poet, theologian and Anglican priest.

He is particularly known for his verse drama _Thomas Cranmer_, which deals with the life of Thomas Cranmer, Archbishop of Canterbury during the reign of Henry VIII.

Sadler was born in Sheffield in 1908 and educated at St Edmund Hall, Oxford. After graduating, he worked as a schoolmaster in England and then in Rhodesia. He was ordained in 1944 and served as a curate in Essex before returning to Rhodesia in 1946.

In 1951, he became headmaster of St David's Mission School in Harare. He was also a member of the Church of the Province of Central Africa's liturgy commission and served as its chairman from 1963 to 1969. He retired from St David's Mission School in 1967 and returned to England. He died in 1993.
