When did the radio first come out?

1895: Italian inventor Guglielmo Marconi begins transmitting Morse Code signals between two nearby buildings

1899: Marconi makes the first two-way radio transmission, across a distance of about 1.5 miles

1906: Reginald Fessenden makes the first successful transmission of human voice by radio

1920: The first commercial radio station, KDKA in Pittsburgh, goes on the air
