Night Clubs 18 & Up in Ft. Lauderdale

Turning age 21 presents a major milestone for would-be nightlife lovers. But in Ft. Lauderdale, one needs only a walker's ID to enjoy post prime-time fun. Club-goers ages 18 and up have a number of venues from which to choose, ranging from hip art spaces to rock concert venues to electronic dance floors.
  1. The Bubble

    • Supporting a number of independent artists and musicians, The Bubble aims to showcase performances and work throughout and beyond the Ft. Lauderdale region. According to partner Garo Gallo, the space is a production facility that hosts an assortment of events, including movie screenings, art gallery openings and band showcases.

The space houses a large outdoor stage, art gallery and an independent artists' merchandise area. Admission is $5 for the under-21 crowd and $10 for 21 and older. There is no bar, but a refreshment stand is set up for each event with beer and/or wine, plus soft drinks. IDs are checked both at the door and at the refreshment area.

    Revolution Live

    • With a max capacity of 999, Revolution Live is, according to catering manager Cathy Jenkins, "a concert hall that is designed to look like a lounge." The multi-level space contains a concert stage plus a large dance floor adjacent to three full-service bars. Concert ticket prices vary. Under-21 concert goers are urged to call the venue or check the Web site in advance of ticket purchasing, as some shows are not all-ages. During concerts, the opulent VIP room is reserved for the drinking crowd, but, Jenkins says, the space is available to any age for private parties.
