How to Use a Y Adapter to Connect Two Input Sources to My Amp

A Y adapter is a type of cord used to run two things either in to or out of another source. A Y adapter can be used to connect two separate input sources into a single input jack. The two connected sources will play simultaneously through the amp's speaker system. The industry standard amp input jack is 1/4" phono.

Instructions

Plug the single male stereo plug on the Y adapter into the "Input" jack on the amp.

    • 2

Plug the first input source into one of the two 1/4" female ends of the Y adapter.

    • 3

Plug the second input source into the second 1/4" female end of the Y adapter.
