How to Patch an Effects Processor to a Mixer

An effects processor allows you to alter your overall sound in various ways such as adding echo, delay and more. The effects processor is connected to the mixer using the send and return jacks. These jacks allows you to add the effects to the overall sound then have it return to the mixer where you can control how much of the processed sound is used in the main mix.

  • 1/4" Patch Cables

Instructions

    • 1

      Insert a 1/4" patch cable into the left Aux sends jack on the mixer.

    • 2

      Plug the other end of the cable used in step 1 to the input jack on the effects processor.

    • 3

      Insert a second 1/4" cable into the output jack of the effects processor.

    • 4

      Plug the other end of the cable used in step 3 into the Aux returns jack on the mixer.
