How to Make a Guitar Amp Out of an Old Console Stereo

A guitar amp is a fun project to do with an older stereo system that has an "Auxiliary in" port. Many older stereo systems come with one. Musicians who have a desire for volume but very little pocket money may make this system modification. The most expensive aspect of this project is purchasing an RCA-to-1/4-inch stereo cable. These may be difficult to find in stores but can be purchased online.
