Who is DJ Wurktime?

DJ Wurktime (real name: Kevin Thomas Williams) is an American DJ, producer, and radio personality from Oakland, California. Also known as Dr. Wurk, he is best known for his 1993 single, "Give Me a Lil' More," which reached number 29 on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. He has also released over 20 mix albums, including "Worktime, Vol. 1," "The Wurkout, Vol. 3," and "The West Coast Wurkout, Vol. 4."

DJ Wurktime began his career in the early 1990s as a DJ at local nightclubs in the Bay Area. In 1992, he released his first single, "Get Ready," which was a local hit. The following year, he signed with Big Beat Records and released "Give Me a Lil' More," which became his first national single.

In addition to his solo career, DJ Wurktime has also collaborated with other artists, including E-40, Too $hort, and Mistah F.A.B. He has also appeared as a guest DJ on various radio shows, including Sway Calloway's "Sway in the Morning" and DJ Whoo Kid's "The Whoo Kid Show."

DJ Wurktime is currently signed to 4th and Broadway Records. His most recent album, "The Wurkout, Vol. 6," was released in 2018.
