- A flat-head screwdriver
- A Phillips-head screwdriver
- A Torx screwdriver
- A trim removal tool
- A flashlight
Instructions:
1. Turn off the engine and disconnect the battery.
2. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry off the trim around the radio.
3. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the four screws that hold the radio in place.
4. Use the Torx screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the radio antenna in place.
5. Disconnect the radio antenna cable.
6. Use the trim removal tool to pry the radio out of the dashboard.
7. Disconnect the power and speaker cables from the back of the radio.
8. Remove the radio from the vehicle.
Note: If your Golf 5 has a navigation system, you will need to remove the navigation screen before you can remove the radio.
