How to Shorten an MP3 Song

MP3 files can be used for songs, podcasts, and other types of audio media. It is even possible to use these MP3 files to create ringtones for mobile devices. When a file is too long to be used in this manner, you will have to edit down the length of the MP3 clip. You can choose to end the song early or only select a certain part such as the chorus or a certain verse. Using MP3 editing software, you can make these choices and keep only the parts of the MP3 file you need.
