Go to a beat making website such as Loop Labs (See References). This is a free online beat making program that integrates with MySpace. Select "Make Music Now" under "The Music Studio" to begin.
Click the "Login with MySpaceID" icon on the top-right corner of the screen. Log into your MySpace account or click "Sign Up" to create a new one. It is required to have a MySpace account in order to save and export your music files.
Choose a sample genre. This includes "Hip Hop Extra 88-95 BPM" and "Hip Hop 100 BPM."
Select an Instrument. Click the drop-down menu and choose "Drum." Click on a specific drum pattern to preview. Click the plus-sign icon to add the channel. Click and drag the sound into the mixer to lengthen and shorten it. Click the play icon on the left of the channel to preview the beat.
Edit the instrument. Adjust the volume and pan levels by clicking and dragging the mixer knob on the left of the channel. Change the tempo by clicking and moving the mouse up or down. Add effects by clicking "FX." Select "On" beside a particular effect and click "Apply" to save. Remove a sample by clicking the "X" on the left beside the channel name.
Add additional instruments. Go to the sound library and select bass, string, or synth sound to go over the drum beat. Adjust the sound and add effects accordingly.
Click "Save" under the play button. Enter a track name and click "Save" again. Click the record button beside the play button to export the track as an MP3.
