How to Hook Up an mp3 Player to Whole House Audio

A decade or so ago, we needed multiple music sources in every room to listen to music throughout the home. Now the best way to do this is to hook up a few audio components and allow them to "talk" to each other. Described as "Whole House Audio," these sophisticated systems allow us to hear mp3 players, radios, CDs or music servers over the entire home. A main source signal is broadcast to the other rooms, which pick up these signals and transfer them to speakers placed throughout the house, usually out of view or set in the walls.
