How to Troubleshoot a Rio MP3 Player

The Rio line of portable digital audio players were amongst the first to gain widespread popularity in the late 1990s, before the game-changing Apple iPod was released in 2001. Although the entire line of Rio portables was discontinued in 2005, the Rio website still provides support for the wide variety of Rio MP3 players still in circulation, such as the Rio Carbon, Rio Karma and Rio Nitrus. Common problems with the Rio MP3 players can often be solved with some simple troubleshooting tricks using the emergency reset or reformatting tools on the player or by performing a firmware update.
