How to Convert an MP3 to a Lower Bitrate

Converting an MP3 to a lower bit rate is useful when you need to compress your music collection so that it takes up less space on your computer. Doing so will also allow you to fit more MP3s on your MP3 player, burn more MP3s to an MP3 CD, or attach more MP3s to an email to send to a friend or coworker. Whatever the reason may be, the conversion is easy with a free audio software such as iTunes, Switch or dBpoweramp.
