Open Windows Media Player by double-clicking on the program icon located in the program files or on the desktop.
Import the MP3 files from your computer that you would like to organize. To do this, click "Add to Library" and select "By Searching Computer." Once you've chosen this option, browse through your computer and select the folder containing the MP3 files you would like to organize. Click "Search" and Windows Media Player will import the MP3 files inside this folder into the Windows Media Player library.
Click the "Library" tab.
Click "Create Playlist," which is located in the left-hand column of Windows Media Player.
Name the new playlist and hit enter. Then, drag and drop the MP3 files you imported into the Windows Media Player library into the new playlist you created to organize them.
Repeat steps 4 and 5 to create additional playlists to organize your MP3 music files.
Open iTunes by double-clicking the icon located in the dock or in the applications folder.
Import the MP3 files from your computer that you would like to organize. To do this, click "File," select "Add to Library" and select the MP3 files you would like to import. Then click "Choose" and iTunes will import the MP3 files into your iTunes library.
Click "File" and select "New Playlist" to create a new iTunes playlist.
Click the new playlist, rename it and hit enter. Then, drag and drop the MP3 files you imported into the iTunes library into the new playlist you created to organize them.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to create additional playlists to organize your MP3 music files.
