Gather the sounds you would like to use for your Web soundboard. Open recordings in your preferred sound editing software like Garage Band. Record your own sounds as well.
Manipulate and edit your sound recordings to your preferences. Remove unnecessary sounds and background noise. Make the sound recordings into small sound bytes so they will load quickly on your soundboard.
Use your software's exporting feature to make sound clips into a standardized file format for Web use. Standardized formats include MP3 and WAV files. Put your files together to keep things easy and clean.
Start Adobe Flash and make a new project file. Add the sound bytes to your file by clicking “Import to Library” found under the “File” and “Import” drop down menu. Find your sound byte files and select them to be imported.
Click on the ellipse tool in the tool bar. Use the selected tool and draw an ellipse to a comfortable button size. Now duplicate this multiple times for as many sound bytes you have.
Make a new layer for each sound byte, naming the layer after each sound. Move your round button shapes to the individual layers. You should have one round button on each layer.
Highlight one of your round button shapes and right-click. Select “Convert to Symbol” from the pop out menu. Pick the “Button” option and name it the same as the sound you will apply to it. Select “OK.” Repeat this step for every round button shape.
Highlight and double-click one of your new round buttons. By adding a keyframe for the different button positions “Down,” "Up," ”Over” and “Hit” you can adjust how your button will react when interacted with. Repeat this for each button.
Go though every one of your buttons and adjust the “Down” key frame. Click the “Sound” option in the properties window. Find and select the sound that matches that button. Click “OK” when done.
Save your files and test everything to make sure it works the way you want. Once you're completely happy with it, choose the publish option in the properties window. Select the “Export” option from the new pop up window.
Place the exported file in your website's HTML file and publish. Visit your website and let the soundboard load up. Test all sounds, then share with your friends.
