Connect your designated input device, such as an amplified instrument, to the Antares Vocal Producer using the line-in jack on the Antares unit and the audio-output jack on the instrument. Connect the two jacks with an instrument cable.

Connect a microphone to the Antares Vocal Producer by routing the audio transmitted through the microphone's XLR cable into a line-out port. To accomplish this, you will need to purchase a simple audio interface such as M-Audio's FireWire Solo. Connect the audio interface to a power supply and plug the microphone into the device using the XLR input port on the interface. Connect the interface to the vocal producer using the line-out port on the interface and the line-in port on the Antares Vocal Producer.

Connect the interface and Vocal Producer to a recording interface such as a multitrack recorder or digital audio workstation. This can be accomplished by connecting the Vocal Producer's master output jack to the recording device using an instrument cable. Any audio transmitted through microphones or amplified instrument will now be routed through the effects processor in the Antares Vocal Producer into the recording device.
