How to Use SHOUTcast

Playing a SHOUTcast Radio Station

  Visit the the SHOUTcast radio website. Click the link in the Resources section of this tutorial that redirects to the SHOUtcast website.

  Select a genre of music you want to hear. Browse through the "Radio Genres" on left side of the home page. Click one of the genres, then click on a sub-genre link.

  Select a radio station to play within the sub-genre. Click the "Play" icon next to the radio station you want to hear.

Create SHOUTcast Account

  Click the "Sign in/Register" button in upper right corner of the homepage. Click the "Register Now!" button in the new window.

  Create a user name and password for your SHOUTcast account. Type a user name and password into the designated fields on the sign-up page. Fill out the remaining information on the form. Click the "Submit" button.

  Confirm your account's email address with SHOUTcast. Log-in to the email address you provided on the sign-up page. Open the email sent by SHOUTcast in your inbox. Click the link provided in the email. Your account will be fully activated by the website.
