How to Combine Loops in Mixcraft

Sample loops can be an invaluable tool for producing electronic music in Acoustica Mixcraft. Many sample CDs and DVDs include percussion and vocal loops that you can incorporate into your own songs. Mixcraft itself includes hundreds of loops in its Library section. If you add too many loops at once to Mixcraft, however, the program can begin to take up a large amount of system resources. To cut down Mixcraft's CPU usage, combine multiple loops into one loop using the software's "Merge Clip" function.

Instructions

    • 1

Start Mixcraft. Click the "Library" tab.

    • 2

Click on a category in the left-hand column, then drag and drop a loop from the Library onto one of the audio tracks. If you want to add an external loop, double-click inside one of the tracks, navigate to the loop and double-click it.

    • 3

Click the "View" menu. Hover the mouse over "Snap to Grid" and select "1/64 Note." Drag and drop the loops so that they're adjacent to one another.

    • 4

Press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously to select all of the loops. Click the "Sound" menu and select "Merge to New Clip." Mixcraft combines the loops into one.
