Change the layout of your music player by accessing the preferences or options window. iTunes states that you can customize your playlist columns in the "view options" window. In this window, uncheck the box for each aspect you don't want to display, including artist name.
Delete the artist name. Select and right-click a group of songs, and click "get info" for a readout of the song file attributes and to allow you to alter them. To hide the artist name, delete it and leave it blank.
Resize your window. Some media players, such as winamp, allow you to drag, drop and resize your player window to show or hide different parts. Hover your mouse over the edge of the song window until it becomes a two-headed arrow icon. Click and drag the window until it is small enough to obscure the artist name.
Create an M3U playlist. Use programming software to create M3U playlist files that contain all of the information for an album. While dragging your MP3 files into the M3U software playlist, you can select "track title" without selecting "artist" to hide the artist name. Winamp states that Unicode support has been offered since version 5.2x, allowing you to implement changes to files in M3U playlists.
