Who is Jewels the rapper?

Jewels Verve (born Jewel Taylor) is a rapper, singer and songwriter from Birmingham, Alabama. She got her start in music releasing 2 mixtapes independently with her childhood group known as "1 of a Kind". Verve made her solo debut in 2018 dropping her solo project ''New Level Jewels'. Since the release of her breakout project, Jewelry has garnered a sizeable audience across major platforms and was featured in publications like Billboard, Ebony Magazine and Essence.

In May 2019, she followed up her debut project with her freshman studio album Been Thru It. The album was supported by the hit single “Fine”. In May 2019, Jewels became the first female artist to sign to Quality Control Music.

In November 2021, Jewels released her second studio album, Twice As Nice, which was supported by the lead single "My Fault" featuring Cardi B. The album debuted at number 23 on the Billboard 200, becoming Jewels' highest-charting album to date.

Additionally, Jewels has been featured on several high profile singles, including “Real Life” by Lil Baby and “Cash Out” by Calvin Harris and PARTYNEXTDOOR.

In May 2022, she went on tour with City Girls and Kali Uchis.
