How do you play the harmonica part of What Friends Are on a guitar?

Here are the steps to play the harmonica part of "What Friends Are" by Michael Martin Murphey on a guitar.

Note: The harmonica part is played in A major. Capo the 3rd fret of the guitar to play along with the harmonica.

Chord Progression (Intro): A E A7 D

1. Strum the A major (capoed 3rd fret) chord 4 times

2. Strum the E major (7th fret) chord 4 times.

3. Strum the A7 (8th fret 7th string, 10th fret 5th & 6th strings) chord 4 times

4. Strum the D major (5th fret) chord 4 times.

Chord Progression (Verse 1): G Bm C D

5. Strum the G major chord (capoed 10th fret) four times.

6. Strum the B minor chord (7th fret 6th string, 9th fret 5th string, 10th fret 4th string) four times.

7. Strum the C major chord (capoed 8th fret) four times.

8. Strum the D major chord four times.

Chorus:

9. Strum the A minor chord one time.

10. Strum the D major chord one time.

11. Strum the C major chord one time.

Verse 2:

G Bm C D

12. Repeat Steps 5-8.

13. Repeat Step 9 -11.

Bridge:

14. Strum the F major chord once.

15. Strum the E major chord once.

16. Strum the A minor chord twice.
