Who owns the rights to guns n roses songs?

The rights to Guns N' Roses' songs are owned by two entities: Primary Wave Music Publishing and Universal Music Group.

Primary Wave Music Publishing owns the rights to the songs written by Guns N' Roses members Axl Rose, Slash, Duff McKagan, and Izzy Stradlin. This includes all of the band's studio albums, as well as live recordings, compilations, and music videos.

Universal Music Group owns the rights to the masters of Guns N' Roses' albums, which are the original recordings of the songs. This includes the performances, mixing, and mastering of the music. Universal Music Group also owns the rights to the band's name and logo.

In 2018, Primary Wave Music Publishing acquired a 50% stake in the Guns N' Roses song catalogue from Irving Azoff's Front Line Management Group. The other 50% of the catalogue is still owned by Universal Music Group.

Guns N' Roses is one of the most successful rock bands of all time, having sold over 150 million records worldwide. Their most successful album, "Appetite for Destruction", was released in 1987 and has sold over 18 million copies in the United States alone.
