How to Convert an Audible Format to MP3

The "audible" file, otherwise known as the .AU file, is the standard audio file type implemented by Unix, Sun and Java. AU files may be easily converted to MPEG (MP3) or any other audio format using an audio conversion application. Many audio conversion utility programs are shareware or freeware, and others offer trials of the products. Some downloadable options include Cool Music Converter (AudioEditor), Switch (NCH Software) and CyberPower's Free Converter.
