Was ACDC influenced by the blues?

AC/DC's music does feature occasional nods to the sound of traditional blues but generally speaking, the majority of AC/DC's music shares traits with more conventional hard rock or "boogie rock" of the 1970s, which is characterised by heavy usage of distorted guitar, strong rhythmic drive, simple chord progressions, and raspy vocals as opposed to being inspired by traditional blues music directly.
