Shawn Crahan has not yet retired from Slipknot. Slipknot did not go on hiatus after the death of bassist Paul Gray. In fact, the band released a new album, "5: The Gray Chapter", in 2014, as a tribute to Gray. The band has been actively touring and performing since the release of the album and shows no signs of stopping anytime soon.
