Oasis were signed to the independent record label Creation Records in 1993 and released their debut album Definitely Maybe the following year. (1995), was even more successful, reaching number one in the UK and US and selling over 22 million copies worldwide. The album included the hit singles "Wonderwall", "Don't Look Back in Anger", and "Champagne Supernova". Oasis' third album, Be Here Now (1997), was also a commercial success but received mixed reviews from critics. The band released four more albums before splitting up in 2009.
