Open Windows Media Player on your Windows-based computer. Click on the "Library" tab.
Right-click on the file you want to change. Select the information you want to edit such as "Title" or "Contributing Artist" and select the "Edit" command from the option menu that appears. Type the information into the edit box and press the "Enter" key on the computer keyboard to set the information. Change or add information in any category using this sequence.
Search for your tagged media in Windows Media Player Library by clicking on a category: Artist, Album, Song Title or Genre.
Be sure you are connected to the internet. In Windows Media Player, click on the "Library" tab.
Click on the address bar. Click the "Select a category" button, then select "Music" from the option box that appears.
Expand the "Library category" in the navigation pane by clicking on the "+" sign, then click "Album."
Right-click on an album. Click "Find Album Info" to initiate an Internet connection and display the "Find Album Information" dialog box. Select an item that you want to search for and click on the appropriate Album selection.
Click "Next" to extract its media information, then "Finish" to automatically add the media information into Windows Media Player. View recently tagged media information in "Library" by clicking on a category: Artist, Album, Song Title or Genre.
In Windows Media Player, click the "Library" tab, double-click an "Album" or an "Artist" category, click a "song title," right-click the title and click "Advanced Tag Editor."
Click the tab(s) for which you want to enter media information. Choose from "Track Info," "Artist Info," "Lyrics," "Pictures," or "Comments."
Enter media information, working on one tab at a time. Click "Apply" to set the information into the Library database.
Click "OK" to exit the Advanced Tag Editor.
