Purchase Nero Burning Rom. This is the easiest program to use to burn any type of video file and will not require you to convert videos, because the program covers the process for you.
Open up Nero Burning Rom. Depending on your DVD player, it may not play VCDs, so the easiest option to choose is make your own DVD-Video. Select this option.
Add the video PC files that you wish to view on your TV. Watch the bottom of the program to see how full the DVD is. If it is over the limit then the DVD will not burn.
Press the next button to see the Menu editing screen. Here you can edit, change, and organize a professional looking DVD. There are several backgrounds to choose from, but you can also import one of your own.
Press the Next button to see a preview of the DVD. Play some of the videos to make sure that they play correctly.
Insert a Blank DVD into your DVD drive. Press the Next button and then the “Burn” button to begin the burning process.
Play the DVD on your television once the burning has completed. Make sure all of the video files work.
Find the inputs on your television. If you do not have a S-Video input then you will need to get a PC-to-TV converter to view the PC Files.
Run the S-Video cord from the computer and into the television.
Right-click on the computer’s desktop and click the Properties option.
Click on the “Settings” tab followed by the “Advanced” tab. A window will pop up with several options. Click the tab that says “Displays”. This is located to the far right and on the bottom row.
Press the red button above the picture of the TV. This will activate the use of a television on your viewing monitor. Turn on your television to see if the connection has worked. You should see your Desktop extended onto that side.
Play the videos on the extended desktop to view them on your TV.
