How to Write to Oprah Winfrey for Help

Oprah Winfrey has become an international icon. Viewers from all over the world turn to Oprah and her team of experts for help and advice. There are many ways to write the television host for help. Oprah does not read every letter she receives, but if you write the most compelling letter possible, you will increase your chances of getting the help you need.

Instructions

    • 1

Write a first draft of your letter. Let your heart pour onto the page. Do not censor or edit until you have completed the draft.

    • 2

Reread what you have written and look for sections that you can strengthen. Include anecdotes and personal stories to improve your letter.

    • 3

Ask for help in a way that will convince Oprah that other people can benefit from the advice. Mention if the topic has not been covered on the show yet, or if it is an extension of a recently covered topic.

    • 4

Ask a friend or loved one to read your letter and provide constructive criticism.
