How to Find Auditions That Are Looking for Babies

Looking for auditions for your baby can seem like a daunting and exhausting process. This is especially true if you do not live in an area where talent agencies or agents are in abundance. However, you can use a variety of resources to find ways to get your child into the "business". Be prepared to work hard and experience rejection before you find successes. The world of baby modeling and acting is just as competitive, if not more so, as it is for adults.

Research baby casting calls and auditions on the Internet. There are many websites that offer resources to finding auditions for your child, both locally and nationally. CommericalKids.com allows you to subscribe to a mailing list and will update you when casting calls are available. Babymodeling.us offers a mailing list and the chance to search for casting calls in your area by entering your zip code into a search engine.

Submit your child's photos to a casting agent or online contest. The CuteKid's website (thecutekid.com) runs a monthly contest to find new talent for the acting and modeling world. You create a member profile using your personal email and contact information and upload as many photos as you wish. There is a fee of $19.99 (at the time of writing) per photo to be entered into the monthly contest. Little Sprouts Talent Group (littlesproutstalentgroup.com), located in Florida, allows you to submit a photo of your child for free to be considered for modeling or acting work.

Check your local newspaper for casting calls in your area. Companies will periodically run ads for open casting calls looking for babies models or actors.

    • 4

Send your baby's best photograph and a cover letter to several talent agencies, preferably locally and in the New York or Los Angeles area. Follow up with a phone call to ensure the photo was received and to inquire about available work. TalentAgencyMatch has a directory of agents and agencies for you to choose from.
