How to Set Up NBC Direct
Online video has changed the way people watch television. Many cable and broadcast shows once only available through a TV can now be accessed on a computer for streaming or downloading. NBC Direct is a free application that allows users to watch and download selected NBC content on their computers. At the time of publication, the software was in Beta phase and available only for the Microsoft Windows operating system.
- Windows Vista or Windows XP with Service Pack 2
- 1.5 GHz or faster CPU
- 20GB or more free space
- 1GB or more RAM
- Screen Resolution of 1280 x 1024 or 1024 x 768
- Speakers or other output A sound card
- Windows Media Player 10.0 or higher,
- Microsoft .NET 2.0 or higher, Adobe Flash 8.x or higher

Log in to your computer as the system administrator so that you can install designated items for this program.

Go to nbc.com/video and select the content you wish to watch. You will be asked to install the NBC Direct player.

Select "Run." Downloading and Installation will begin immediately.

Review the legal terms and conditions when they pop up on the screen. Before you can install the program, you must agree to the terms and conditions.

Choose an install location. The program will run automatically once it is downloaded and installed, allowing you to watch your preferred content.
